Gran Dovejo tequilas are created in the Los Altos region of Jalisco, Mexico, where acidic soil conditions produce exceptionally sweet agave. The Vivanco family has grown agave for five generations here, and has perfected the cultivation of and processing of these unique, resilient desert plants.

Grown at Feliciano’s El Ranchito in Arandas, the Vivanco family agave is meticulously distilled, using traditional methods, into the lively spirits offered by Gran Dovejo. These award winning, additive-free, small batch tequilas begin when agave is harvested from single-estate, family-owned fields. The piñas, or hearts, are then roasted at 194 degrees Fahrenheit for 36 hours in a clay oven. Multiple levels of charring create a characteristic warmth and richness in Gran Dovejo spirits. Once cooked, the agave flesh is shredded, rolled, and fermented with champagne yeast.
Gran Dovejo Blanco is bottled after fermentation, and has a vibrant, clean flavor. The Reposado and Añejo, spend between 6 and 36 months aging in American white oak barrels. The resulting tequilas are uniquely rich, warm, and sweet.
